Some Scriptural Terminology
The Anointing ~ The presence and work of the Holy Spirit in a person's life. "But the anointing which you have received of him abideth in you."
I John 2:27
To Minister ~ To serve or help another by the anointing of the Holy Spirit. "...but our sufficiency is of God; who also made us able ministers of the New Testament..."
II Corinthians 3:5-6
The Glory ~ The manifestation of God's presence and splendor of man's spiritual and physical senses. "And it came to pass... that the clouds filled the House of the Lord, so that the priests could not stand to minister... for the Glory of the Lord had filled the House of the Lord."
II Kings 8:10-11
Revelation ~ Our understanding of God's will and purpose. "Wherefore I also, after heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in prayer, That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory, may give unto you the spirit of of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him."
Ephesians 1:15-17
Edify ~ To build up, "Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church."

The Body ~ The Church, the body of Christ on the earth. "For as the body is one, and hath many members and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bound or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many. If the foot shall say, because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?"

Spiritual Gifts ~ Supernatural abilities given by the Holy Spirit to believers. "Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which wortheth all in all. But the manifestation of the spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirits; to another diver kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues; But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit. Dividing to every man severally as he will. Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather ye may prophesy."
